OUR STORY
During the pandemic, we were looking for new ways to explore the Bay Area with our three children. After months of hiking, biking, and adventuring, we discovered electric boats and were instantly captivated. We fell in love with their quiet, zero-emission glide—a way to sit back, enjoy music, and savor calm, unhurried moments on the water with friends and family. We knew we wanted to bring this sense of adventure and serenity to others, and so BAE BOATS was born.
Adventure has always been a part of our story. Twenty years ago, we became engaged on a sailing trip in Santorini—a moment so meaningful that our first boat carries the name Santorini. Every boat in our fleet is named after a place that holds special meaning for our family. We opened our first location in 2021, followed by our second in Sausalito in 2024, with the goal of giving families a chance to escape, explore, and leave the shore—and daily concerns—behind.
Today, we focus on collaborating with small businesses and local creatives to ensure every guest enjoys a thoughtful, memorable experience on the water. We hope that when guests head out with us, they feel that same sense of peace, excitement, and possibility that inspired our journey.
